Having developed a portfolio career, Dr. Brooks enjoys working on a variety of diverse and highly interesting areas of education and training for dental professionals. She serves as a Senior Consultant for Dentalia Coaching and Training Consultancy. Her role entails training groups of six to 200 dental professionals on leadership, negotiation, ethics, communication and professionalism. She coaches dentists who are undertaking remediation for their performance, want to develop their leadership skills or are making career decisions. Prior to establishing her company, Dr. Brooks was a dentist working with special needs patients for more than 20 years.

In 2011, Dr. Brooks earned a doctorate in medical ethics from Keele University. She also received a master's degree in health informatics from the University of Southhampton in 2002, a master's degree in community dental health from the University of Birmingham in 1989, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham in 1983. She also has a Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Warwick. Her professional affiliations include the British Dental Association, the Association of Medical Educators and the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. She was awarded an MBE in the 2007 New Years Honours List for services to dentistry and a Fellowship by election by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) in 2010. Looking toward the future, Dr. Brooks hopes to build her business and widen her business networks and contacts. She also wants to expand the tendering work she undertakes to include short term research projects.
