BEDFORD, NY, April 04, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- We are looking for project idea submissions from adults and children of all ages. They should be easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides to help kids create simple yet fun projects from their homes or hospital beds (think clay monsters with googly eyes or toilet paper roll puppets!), and appropriate for either of two age groups: a younger group (age 4-8) and an a older group (age 9 and up).
Art Bags for Kids are sent to children who are sick and/or disabled, cannot go to school and do not have access to art classes. The organization's mission is to spread the healing power of art through these simple, yet powerful bags of art supplies. Hundreds of Art Bags have been distributed through the help of Ronald McDonald houses, hospitals and hospice programs throughout the country. The bags include markers, crayons, colored pencils, paints, glue, ribbon, buttons, clay and other craft items to enable young artists to put their creativity to work.
All submissions should follow the format as requested on the submission form and as shown in the example project on the organization's website. All projects will be accepted and posted on the Art Bags website. Those that are chosen for the "Project Booklet" will be awarded a $25 gift card and credited in the booklet. Submission forms can be found via the Art Bags for Kids website at www.artbagsforkids.com, or by emailing [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is August 15th and the awards will be announced on October 1st.
