Pamela S. Hall Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    PORTSMOUTH, NH, April 22, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Pamela S. Hall with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Hall celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in his field. Joining the environmental industry in 1971 at a time when it was just beginning, Ms. Hall was excited to get involved in solving the emerging issues the field was facing. At Normandeau Associates, a brand-new organization founded in 1970 and headquartered in Bedford, New Hampshire, in 1970, she served in the capacity of program manager, marine laboratory director and programs and operations manager before being appointed to then to president and chief executive officer in 1988. In 2000 she was elected to the board of directors and became board chair in 2015. Today, she continues to serve as chair and corporate officer. A science-based consulting firm, Normandeau Associates notably serves both the profit and nonprofit sectors.

Anticipating that the firm will continue to grow and thrive in the coming years, Ms. Hall is optimistic about its continued success. Throughout her years with the organization, one of her greatest achievements was leading the effort to buy it from a Fortune 500 company in 2000 and make it 100% employee owned, which was a huge success.

Over the past 40 years, Ms. Hall has been very enthusiastic about corporate social responsibility. Inspiring companies to be more engaged in their communities by volunteering, she, too, has played her part. She has served on numerous non-profit boards, many times in leadership positions. Currently, she is on the board of directors of the Environmental Business Council of New England where she has served since 1995 and was treasurer from 1997 to 2019. She is also a member of the board of directors for the Southeast Land Trust; a member of the New Hampshire Research and Industry Council; and a member of the board of advisors of the University of New Hampshire-Manchester. She served on the board of directors for the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire from 2012 to 2018. She is also chair emerita of Volunteer NH where she served on the board from 2009 to 2017 and was chair from 2013 to 2017.

Highly educated, Ms. Hall received a Bachelor of Arts in zoology at the University of Connecticut in 1966; followed by a Master of Science in zoology in 1969 and B.S. in business, summa cum laude, in 1982 at the University of New Hampshire. She also completed doctoral coursework in zoology at the University of New Hampshire and postgraduate coursework in urban and environmental policy at Tufts University in Massachusetts.

Ms. Hall is a member of the Nature Conservancy, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the National Audubon Society, the Audubon Society of New Hampshire and several other conservation related organizations. Additionally, she was elected to the Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honor Society and Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society in graduate school.

Ms. Hall was a Graham Foundation fellow in 1966 and National Defense Education Act fellow from 1970 to 1971. Some of her outstanding achievements during her career have more recently included being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire in 2016, an Above and Beyond Award from the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire in 2014 and an Environmental Leadership Award from the Environmental Business Council of New England in 1998. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Hall has been showcased in over 65 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
