Welcome To Nails for Them, The First Gender Nonconforming Nail Salon in Fort Worth

It is safe to say that for the LGBTQ+ community in Fort Worth, it can be tough to find a nail studio where they feel safe and comfortable getting their nails done. Well, that's about to change.

Salon & Spa Galleria Weisenberger welcomes Nails For Them, a premier nail bar that gives everyone the pampering treatments they want, regardless of their gender identity, and gender expression.

"As a queer person myself, I wanted to create a safe space for people in my community to go and get their nails done. Feeling safe in a high femme environment is important to my community when you're gender nonconforming. So, feel free to just come in, be yourself, and ask for whatever design or color you want," says studio owner Lizette Duran.

Lizette has been into nails since he was 7, but it took him a while to realize that this could be a career-worthy endeavor. "I was a child but would spend hours painting my sisters' nails. It has always been a hobby of mine and no matter what I was doing, this was something I'd always get back to. So, I decided to make it official."

He got his license about two years ago and ever since then he has created several museum-worthy nail designs including the memorable Billy the Puppet mask from the Saw movies and miniature versions of contemporary paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Lizette's love of art shines brilliantly through his unique, custom designs.

In addition to the cool nail art, he is also known for natural nail care services to promote healthier, stronger nails. You won't find any acrylic or dip here, only high-quality gel products. Lizette also makes his own cuticle oil using organic essential oils, which is available for sale.
