FORT WORTH, TX, December 23, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adding a playful twist to the lineup at the DFW Car & Toy Museum, a rare 1989 Nissan S-Cargo has joined The Ron Sturgeon Collection, bringing retro charm, functional design, and offbeat Japanese automotive history to Fort Worth. Only around 8,000 of these whimsical microvans were ever produced, making this S-Cargo a unique gem for car lovers and collectors alike.

Imported from Japan in 2018, the S-Cargo was designed as a loving homage to the Citroën 2CV delivery van. With its name cleverly nodding to both "Small Cargo" and the French word escargot (yes—snail), this light commercial vehicle is as charming as it is utilitarian.

Finished in classic white, this model features right-hand drive and a practical yet quirky interior. The split front bench seat is upholstered in light gray cloth, while the rear bench wears black vinyl—perfect for transporting either goods or curious passengers. Features include air conditioning, a full-length rubber floor liner, and a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo for a touch of modern convenience.

The center-mounted instrument cluster includes a 160-km/h speedometer and gauges for fuel and water temperature. With just 97,000 kilometers (~60,000 miles) on the odometer, this front-wheel-drive van is powered by a 1.5-liter carbureted inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, offering simple, smooth, and surprisingly fun urban motoring.

"The S-Cargo is one of those vehicles that just makes people smile—it's functional art on wheels," says Ron Sturgeon, owner of the DFW Car & Toy Museum. "It's exactly the kind of oddball innovation we love to share with our guests."

Whether you're a JDM enthusiast, a fan of retro design, or just love discovering the cars you never see on the road, the Nissan S-Cargo is sure to deliver a memorable visit.
