Before entering the corporate space, Mr. Harris completed a long military career, spanning three decades in the U.S. Navy, culminating in his retirement as a captain. His tenure included serving as the commander of the Electronic Attack Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, from 2022 to 2024. In this capacity, he oversaw 150 aircraft and more than 3,000 personnel, ensuring they were adequately trained and equipped for electronic warfare operations. His earlier roles included deputy commodore at COMVAQWINGPAC and commanding officer of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129.

Throughout his military service, Mr. Harris demonstrated exceptional expertise in Department of Defense long-range strategy with a focus on naval aviation and electronic warfare. He served as a naval flight officer and electronic warfare officer from 1998 to 2024 and was a commanding officer for two operational U.S. Navy squadrons before he became a commander. His excellence was recognized with several awards, including the Legion of Merit in 2024 and multiple Peer Leadership Awards from Commander, Naval Air Forces.

Educationally, Mr. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and government from the United States Naval Academy in 1994. He furthered his education with a master's degree in adult and continuing education from Kansas State University in 2008 and completed master level coursework in military operations at both the Joint Forces Staff College and Command & General Staff College.

Overall, Mr. Harris attributes his success to the influence of his parents, his upbringing in a close-knit community and the mentorship he received from retired naval aviators who inspired him to pursue a career in the Navy. His educational experiences at the Naval Academy also played a crucial role in shaping his leadership skills.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Harris is actively involved in civic organizations. He serves on the charitable foundation board of the Island Health Foundation and volunteers with the Anacortes Lacrosse Club and local schools. In his personal life, he enjoys attending and coaching his children's sporting events, skiing, hiking and participating in triathlons, Ironmans and marathons.
