HARTFORD, CT, August 01, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Reverend Kevin T. Taylor has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Rev. Taylor has built a distinguished career characterized by leadership and expertise across education, clean energy, and faith communities. He currently holds the position of chief finance and talent officer at The RISE Network, a non-profit in New Haven, CT. This organization collaborates with public high schools to guarantee that all RISE students graduate equipped with the plans, skills, and confidence needed for college and career success.

Rev. Taylor is also the pastor of Israel African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church in Albany, NY, the oldest Black church in upstate New York, and a station on the storied Underground Railroad. He is a sought-after preacher, teacher, workshop presenter, event planner, social justice advocate, and author of newspaper articles and op-eds in numerous regional and national publications, including The Christian Recorder, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Oklahoma Eagle, and Hartford Courant.

He is also the author of A Charge to Keep: Immutable Leadership Lessons from the C-Suite to the Pulpit. This book distills decades of Rev. Taylor's experience as a bi-vocational pastor and C-suite executive into practical insights for today's leaders. It helps readers learn how to navigate change, stabilize their organizations, and build teams united by shared purpose and values. Filled with real-world stories—from saving churches from financial collapse to managing multimillion-dollar budgets—the book equips leaders with tools to create lasting solutions.

Prior to joining RISE, Rev. Taylor was a C-suite leader at Greentown Labs from 2022 to 2023. Initially appointed as the organization's first chief financial officer, he was later promoted to interim chief executive officer. During his tenure, he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills that contributed to the nonprofit's climatetech innovation and commercialization. Before joining the clean energy sector, he served as the chief executive officer of City on a Hill Charter Public School from 2018 to 2021, during which he played a pivotal strategic role in improving educational outcomes and effectively communicated the school's vision to both internal and external stakeholders.

From 2015 to 2018, Rev. Taylor served as the chief operating officer for KIPP Massachusetts, where he led enrollment strategies, developed advocacy goals, and championed diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. His earlier career includes roles such as director of finance at Achievement First from 2012 to 2015 and business manager for Scholastic, Inc., from 2008 to 2012, roles where he honed his financial acumen and strategic planning abilities.

Rev. Taylor's academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional and societal achievements. A graduate of the Ann Arbor, Michigan, public schools and a proud product of Tuskegee University, one of the premier Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs), Rev. Taylor's focus on political science and mathematics proved transformational in shaping his analytical skills and understanding of complex organizational dynamics. Beyond Marquis Who's Who, Rev. Taylor has been recognized by the National Council of Negro Women and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., among many other civic and civil rights organizations. In September 2025, for instance, he will be honored at the 12th Annual 100 Men of Color Black Tie Gala, which recognizes leaders in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts for their impact in leadership, entrepreneurship, education, athletics, entertainment, healthcare, government, public service, and community service.

Beyond his professional life, Rev. Taylor is deeply dedicated to his family and community. He is an advisory board member of the CC Taylor Foundation. This philanthropic organization aids undergraduate and graduate students in reaching their educational potential, named for his paternal grandparents, the Rev. Charlie E. and Cinderella S. Taylor. Looking ahead, Rev. Taylor aspires to expand his impact within his denomination by running for general secretary/chief information officer of the A.M.E. Church and ultimately to be elected as a Bishop. Rev. Taylor's ongoing work focuses on making a positive impact on others' lives through his extensive greeting card ministry, furthering his legacy as a passionate leader and change agent.
