In her most recent position as a senior data analyst at Nike, she was actively engaged in updating her knowledge of current technologies, emphasizing previously acquired skills and participating in on-the-job training. She actively explored Databricks training resources, enhanced her understanding of generative artificial intelligence and underwent Python programming courses. In her professional capacity, she has utilized experience gained from working as a contractor for various companies. To this end, Ms. Phamdo has applied her expertise across multiple platforms and diverse industries, leveraging her analytical skills to address complex data challenges and integrating technological solutions into existing business frameworks.

Prior to engaging in consulting activities, Ms. Phamdo worked for American Express and dedicated more than 15 years as a data analyst at Intel, a tenure characterized by significant innovation and noteworthy ideas that provided substantial benefits to the organization. Her passion for innovative problem-solving culminated in a collaborative project that led to the approval of a patent for an idea conceived two decades earlier. Conceived while attending classes at Oregon Health and Science University for the master program, it was named Genetic Counseling Telemedicine (GCTM), a strategy to extend genetic counseling offerings as an OHSU outreach service to patients referred from outlying clinics servicing the rural area via teleconference. This achievement remains one of the most gratifying aspects of her career, particularly as she observes the advent of products closely related to her original concept. Notably, Ms. Phamdo takes great pride in her ability to generate patent-worthy ideas and regards this legacy as a central element of her professional identity.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Phamdo served in data processing roles at Fred Meyer, General Electric, Data General, PRJ and Zales Jewelry. She acquired foundational experience as a system analyst at Legacy Hospital. In this capacity, she was accountable for analyzing and optimizing information systems within the health care system, thereby enhancing her technical expertise and problem-solving skills. She commenced her profession in the investments department at Aetna Life and Casualty in 1980. Throughout her professional journey, Ms. Phamdo has exhibited a high degree of proficiency in advanced data platforms and cloud technologies such as Azure, and her unwavering dedication to continual learning is demonstrated through her ongoing pursuit of new certifications and training opportunities.

Showcasing a drive for excellence, Ms. Phamdo began working in the late 1970s while concurrently attending Greater Hartford Community College, from which she graduated summa cum laude with an associate degree in data processing. During this time, she also learned to speak English. A passion for continuous learning motivated Ms. Phamdo to obtain a bachelor's degree in computer science from Boston University in 1984. The university's rigorous curriculum has been instrumental in developing her technical skills. Additionally, Ms. Phamdo is a member of the Data Management Association, actively engaging with colleagues and contributing to the promotion of industry best practices.

Ms. Phamdo attributes her success to determination and passion, qualities that consistently drive her to fulfill her dream of helping others — a passion she actively shows her children and grandchildren. Living in Vietnam during the communist regime in the 1970s, she eventually fled to a refugee camp in Thailand before ultimately immigrating to the United States in 1978. Throughout her life, Ms. Phamdo has exhibited a drive not only to succeed but also to make the best life possible for herself and those around her. To maintain balance, she enjoys spending time with her family. Looking toward the future, Ms. Phamdo remains dedicated to making a positive difference in the world.
