Mr. Garling began his professional journey as an engineering intern at Trinity Logistics Corporation from 2018 to 2019, where he supported engineering projects that reinforced his understanding of business operations and quality assurance. Additionally, from 2015 to 2019, he served as an intramural supervisor at Augustana College, overseeing recreational sports programs and developing leadership skills that would later inform his management approach.

Throughout his career, Mr. Garling has demonstrated expertise in utilizing technology for improvement, deploying quality management systems, advanced product quality planning, corrective and preventive action implementation, data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. He is also highly knowledgeable in ISO 9001 standards.

Mr. Garling's academic background includes earning a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Augustana College in Rock Island in 2019. Mr. Garling's civic involvement includes serving as an official for Illinois and Iowa high school athletics in baseball, basketball and football, as well as participating with Big Brothers Big Sisters during High School.
