PARKVILLE, MO, November 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amy Steinhour, PA-C, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Hailing from a multifaceted career that spans clinical practice, academic leadership and entrepreneurship, Ms. Steinhour has established herself as a leader and innovator in the health care sector. As the founder and chief executive officer of GiftWellSoon, she is setting a new standard for the care and support given to individuals and families facing serious illnesses. After years of supporting caregivers as a clinician, she chose to become a primary caregiver herself when her mother faced illness.
Later diagnosed with breast cancer herself, Ms. Steinhour experienced firsthand the challenges that patients undergoing treatment encounter when seeking practical help at home. Recognizing the gaps in available support systems, she drew upon nearly two decades of medical experience — as well as the insights she gained as both a caregiver and patient — to create GiftWellSoon. Based in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, the organization is designed to connect individuals with resources that facilitate caregiving and recovery, particularly for those lacking robust, local support networks.
In her leadership role, Ms. Steinhour actively networks with local nonprofit organizations to build partnerships and community connections, hosts and produces the "Let Me Know if You Need a Podcast" podcast, and engages in meetings to align with like-minded partners and supporters. Through her efforts at GiftWellSoon, she continues to build a community of individuals and organizations united by a mission to provide structured pathways for practical support during health challenges.
Also since 2025, Ms. Steinhour has served as an associate program director with the physician assistant program at Ottawa University, where she has been pivotal in building the program. She navigates the complex accreditation process and prepares for the enrollment of nearly 50 new students, reflecting her commitment to advancing physician assistant education and empowering future health care professionals. In this capacity, she is dedicated to inspiring students to embrace the values of the profession and to pursue leadership roles that elevate the visibility and impact of physician assistants within the national health care landscape.
From 2023 to 2025, Ms. Steinhour was the chief clinical officer at PI Care, a remote role in which she oversaw clinical operations and contributed to organizational strategy. Prior to reaching her executive roles, she dedicated herself to clinical practice as a physician assistant beginning in 2008, focusing primarily on orthopedic surgery and surgical subspecialties. In these positions, she provided compassionate care to patients and their caregivers, acting as an intermediary who facilitated medical care while offering emotional and logistical support during difficult times.
Before venturing onto her professional health care path, Ms. Steinhour earned a master's degree in medical science with a focus on physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. She also holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 2004. The entrepreneurial spirit instilled by her father — a small business owner who encouraged her to pursue meaningful and fulfilling work — has been crucial throughout her journey in medicine and entrepreneurship. She credits her success to this foundational influence as well as the mentors who have supported her growth at every stage of her career.
To share insights and stay aware of best medical practices, Ms. Steinhour is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Physician Assistant Education Association. She has also contributed articles to both associations' respective journals, spreading the knowledge gained from her professional, educational and personal experiences over the last two decades.
Equally known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Ms. Steinhour engages in local community service events related to animal welfare, supports the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter, formally serves as a mentor for other breast cancer patients through the University of Kansas healthcare system, and participates in annual community events at Ottawa University.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Steinhour is deeply devoted to her family life as a mother of two daughters whom she adopted after fostering them. She enjoys golfing, reading and supporting her children's activities both inside and outside the classroom.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Steinhour envisions GiftWellSoon becoming a defining project that transforms how individuals navigate caregiving situations by normalizing proactive support and connecting users with essential and tailored resources. Her goal is for the company to become widely recognized as a vital resource for patients and caregivers alike, ultimately driving cultural change that empowers individuals and families facing health challenges.
Throughout her multifaceted career, Ms. Steinhour has demonstrated unwavering resilience and dedication to patient care, education and innovation — qualities that continue to shape her impact within the health care realm and on society at large.
