Mr. Saxon has established a distinguished career in nonprofit leadership and organizational development, currently serving as the managing principal of Saxon Advisors LLC. In this capacity since 2023, the practice leverages his team's extensive expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, financial management, board development and organizational and NGO operations to guide nonprofit organizations toward sustainable growth and impactful service. His proficiency also encompasses board governance analysis & performance, annual plans, community partnerships, staff and program development, budget management, community outreach initiatives, grant acquisition, among other areas. This breadth of knowledge has positioned Mr. Saxon and Saxon Advisors LLC as a respected authority in the nonprofit sector.

In addition to his present role, Mr. Saxon has maintained a longstanding commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where he served as director of metro services in Atlanta beginning in 2018. His leadership in this position resulted in advancing organizational missions and expanding its reach within metropolitan communities with a portfolio budget of more than $80,000,000. In 2017, he was appointed executive leadership of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, where he provided strategic change management and operational oversight during a pivotal period for the organization. The previous year, Mr. Saxon held the role of interim regional vice president for the Northeast Region, further demonstrating his capacity to lead at the highest levels of the organization.

From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Saxon served as the director of metro services for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in Atlanta. In this position, he was responsible for supporting local Boards and Executive leaders on program implementation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to youth across the top DMA markets in the Southeast United States. His earlier tenure as regional service director for the state of Virginia from 2006 to 2013 was marked by his dedication to strengthening club operations and fostering advancement of the local affiliate Board of Directors.

Mr. Saxon's career with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta began in 1991, when he was appointed vice president of marketing and resource development, a role he held until 2006. During this period, he also served as regional vice president from 1998 to 2005, where he played a key role in expanding the organization's footprint and enhancing its impact on local communities. His journey with the Boys & Girls Club started as club director at the James T. Anderson Boys & Girls Clubs from 1991 to 1998. Mr. Saxon is particularly proud of his first decade as a program practitioner at the nonprofit, which laid the foundation for his subsequent achievements and instilled in him a deep commitment to the foundational elements of a high performing non-profit organization.

Throughout his career, Mr. Saxon has been recognized for his outstanding contributions. His accolades include the Herman S. Prescott Award for Leadership, the Southeast Region Youth Development Professional of the Year Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Youth Development Professional of the Year Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, the Presidential Award for Growth from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the President's Circle Award for Performance Excellence, and the Norman Shipley Award from the Marietta Rotary Club.

Mr. Saxon's professional affiliations reflect his dedication to service and leadership. He is a member of ForbesBLK since 2024, Leadership Cobb Alumni with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce since 1999, the National Council of Non-Profits, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and 100 Black Men of North Metro Atlanta Inc.

Mr. Saxon's academic background includes graduate coursework in business management at the University of Northern Iowa in 1987 and an Associate of Arts in business management from Iowa Lakes Community College in 1984. These academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for his success in organizational leadership and management. Mr. Saxon has also earned several certifications, including a nationally licensed consultant from the Standards for Excellence Institute in 2024.

Mr. Saxon attributes his success to his faith in God. He considers himself a servant dedicated to fulfilling a higher purpose, and this guiding principle has shaped his approach to leadership and service throughout his career. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Saxon serves as a board member for Our House in Atlanta and is a member of the Board of Appeals for the City of Brookhaven. His engagement extends to national organizations such as the Ford Foundation and the Obama Foundation, reflecting his commitment to advancing social good on both local and national levels.
