Marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to advancing industry standards, Mr. Strahle has led a distinguished career of over 35 years in the construction advisory and engineering sectors. As the Senior Managing Director of the Construction Advisory Practice and United States Lead at J.S. Held LLC, he oversees all operational and technical aspects of the practice for the US, and is responsible for providing services in the construction advisory space, specializing in dispute and litigation support for clients involved in capital projects.

Prior to reaching his current position at J.S. Held, Mr. Strahle served as Managing Director, during which he was integral in expanding the company's commercial offerings and transitioning the organization from its initial focus on insurance-related services to a robust commercial practice. The construction advisory practice grew significantly and now comprises approximately 175 professionals with offices across London, Germany, Spain, Dubai, Singapore and Canada.

From 2008 to 2019, Mr. Strahle was Senior Manager in the Infrastructure and Capital Projects Practice at Deloitte. Over his 11-year tenure, he provided advisory services throughout the entire lifecycle of capital project assets, including initial planning, construction monitoring and expert witness testimony in claims litigation. He also supported audit teams in bankruptcy matters and conducted due diligence for key mergers and acquisitions. Gaining valuable international experience through projects in China, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and India, he broadened his understanding of global business practices and cultural approaches to construction.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Strahle worked in the engineering/construction sector as a Project Manager at Parsons Corporation for seven years. During this time, he collaborated closely with major clients such as Chevron/Texaco and Dow Chemical on facilities across the United States.

From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Strahle held the position of Project Engineer and Project Manager at OHM Remediation/IT Group, where he managed environmental remediation projects. He began his multidisciplinary journey as a Project Engineer at Harding Lawson Association from 1991 to 1996.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Strahle has been actively involved in industry organizations including the American Bar Association, AACE International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) and the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society. Happy to share his knowledge by providing training on managing construction claims, he has overseen projects and addressed fraud risks for large corporations well as federal government agencies.

Much of Mr. Strahle's success in engineering and advisory services stems from his equally impressive academic background. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2008. Before venturing onto his vocational path, he obtained a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1991 and became licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Strahle participates in programs such as the J.S. Held Leadership Excellence and Development for Risers — a workshop that prepares employees with high potential to take on future leadership roles and completed the Parsons Corporation Project Management Certification Program.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Strahle attributes his success to strategic growth initiatives within his organizations as well as the steadfast love and support from his family. He is immensely grateful to his wife for maintaining stability at their home, which has enabled him to pursue demanding professional opportunities while traveling extensively. With his daughter currently pursuing a dual degree program in Mechanical Engineering and Finance at Lehigh University, his family continues to make a positive impact throughout the engineering realm.
