Transitioning to the United States Air Force, Mr. Boyden held several key positions, including as a shift supervisor and security forces flight chief from 2005 to 2006, a temporary duty instructor for the basic combat convoy course in 2006, and a deployed assistant patrol leader with the police transition team from 2006 to 2007. Notably, he trained Iraqi police officers during deployments with police transition teams, providing academy-style instruction and accompanying them on patrols in Baghdad and Tikrit. His efforts contributed to significant improvements in local policing practices and earned him the Bronze Star Award.

Mr. Boyden's ability to learn from talented individuals across diverse backgrounds has been central to his success. He values self-reflection and adaptability, skills honed through transitions between roles in infantry, law enforcement, investigations and private sector management. His expertise as a test and requirements manager is widely recognized, reflecting his commitment to excellence and his capacity for building award-winning teams. His dedication has been recognized through numerous awards, including twice being named Employee of the Month at Odyssey Systems in 2025, receiving the Team of the Year Award in 2012, and being honored as number one out of 11 in the Excellent Air Force Material Command in both 2010 and 2013.
