REDLANDS, CA, April 23, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Travis P. Martin has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Martin currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and physician at Prestige Pain and Trauma Institute, a role he has held since 2026. In this capacity, he manages new patient consultations, develops comprehensive therapeutic plans that may include injections, procedures, or surgeries, and conducts detailed follow-ups to monitor patient progress. His expertise includes performing ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopy-assisted injections, such as epidurals in the neck and lower back, as well as surgical implantation of spinal cord stimulators. As a consultant in the emergency department, Dr. Martin adapts to a wide range of cases, from minor ailments to severe trauma, coordinating care for each patient. On days dedicated to workers' compensation, he conducts thorough examinations. He produces extensive reports for the State of California Department of Workers' Compensation, ensuring both medical and legal aspects of recovery are addressed. As a qualified medical evaluator in California, he is deeply involved in medical-legal consulting and advocacy for injured workers, integrating post-traumatic care into pain management to help patients regain independence.

In addition to his leadership at Prestige Pain and Trauma Institute, Dr. Martin also covers weekend shifts in the emergency department at Loma Linda University. His responsibilities there require rapid assessment and intervention for a diverse array of urgent medical conditions. Prior to this, he contributed his expertise in emergency medicine at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center in Riverside, where he managed acute cases and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to deliver critical care.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Martin practiced emergency medicine in Monterey while completing intensive language training at the Defense Language Institute. He later worked at Inland Pain Medicine in Colton as an anesthesia-trained spine specialist focusing on injections, regenerative medicine and spinal cord stimulator procedures. His experience also includes practicing in Santa Barbara, where he encountered varied patient populations and honed his skills in interventional pain management.

Dr. Martin completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital through Harvard Medical School in Boston. During this period, he further developed his proficiency with advanced pain management techniques while serving patients from diverse backgrounds.

His professional journey began with service as a staff sergeant and non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force from 2007 to 2012. Specializing as an airborne Korean linguist after nearly two years of intensive training at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Dr. Martin performed airborne reconnaissance missions across multiple aircraft platforms with a focus on intelligence gathering. He completed three tours in Afghanistan, during which he was cross-trained in signals operations to meet deployment-specific needs. His military tenure was marked by leadership development—most notably earning the John Levitow Award upon graduating from Airman Leadership School—and recognition for exemplary service, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, the USAF Marksmanship Medal, multiple Air Medals for nearly 5,000 sorties flown, and various deployment medals. He also received an official recognition award from the National Security Agency for classified mission work.

Throughout his career, Dr. Martin has established himself as an expert in interventional pain medicine, emergency medicine and spine care while serving as a qualified medical examiner. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pain Medicine (now Academy of Integrative Pain Management), North American Neuromodulation Society—where he completes significant coursework—the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery, with a focus on workers' compensation cases, and the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Martin's academic background has been instrumental to his success. He earned his fellowship in pain medicine from Brigham and Women's Hospital, through Harvard Medical School, in Boston, following completion of a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2019 after completing a bachelor's degree in general studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha—a program that included correspondence courses taken while stationed overseas during military service.

He holds certification as a qualified medical evaluator in California, which enables him to provide specialized assessments for workers' compensation cases statewide.

Dr. Martin attributes his achievements to perseverance and adaptability cultivated through both military service and frontline medical work during challenging periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic. His refusal to quit in the face of adversity has enabled him to leverage each experience—from intelligence operations abroad to emergency department leadership—to build a multifaceted career dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Civically engaged throughout his life, Dr. Martin is a longtime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. He maintains involvement with the California Medical Society—particularly supporting clinics that address barriers to medical access—and has volunteered extensively with veteran societies since his pre-medical years. His advocacy extends into fundraising efforts focused on the medical-legal landscape; he works closely with support groups championing injured workers' rights against large corporate interests.

Born in Fontana, Dr. Martin now resides in Redlands with his wife and their daughter Saoirse; they are expecting their second child later this year. Family life is central to him—he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, children and three dogs hiking local trails or camping throughout Southern California. A passionate hiker and former sports shooter who served as a marksman during his military service, Dr. Martin looks forward to returning to these hobbies when time allows.

Looking ahead, Dr. Martin aims to expand access to high-quality pain management by growing Prestige Pain and Trauma Institute into a network serving underserved communities across multiple locations. His vision includes bringing additional physicians into the practice so that he can eventually transition into an executive leadership role overseeing operations while dedicating more time to family life.

Dr. Martin's career reflects an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, community advocacy, and innovative approaches that bridge gaps between trauma care and long-term recovery for patients throughout California.
