Prior to her current position, Ms. Carson contributed to local and international media as a radio talk show host and producer for "Women in Business" from 2022 to 2023, which aired live on KWRH and KXOK and was distributed nationally and internationally by Zeno FM through Ottu Media. In this role, she produced and hosted a program that engaged the community and featured prominent female entrepreneurs and business owners from the St. Louis area. The show attracted more than three million listeners across the United States and abroad.

From 1997 to 2015, Ms. Carson co-owned Marketing Xperience LLC in Wildwood, Missouri. During this period, she provided innovative marketing solutions for clients while expanding her professional network. Earlier in her career, she served as wedding registry director for the Midwest Division of Dillard's Department Stores Inc. from 1989 to 1996. In this capacity, she was responsible for training bridal consultants across 35 department stores and achieved significant milestones, including maintaining the number one wedding registry store for Dillard's for four consecutive years.

As a publicity and special events coordinator at Stix, Baer & Fuller Department Stores from 1979 to 1989, Ms. Carson's creativity shone through as she orchestrated special events—occasionally stepping into character as Frosty the Snowman during Breakfast with Santa—and managed publicity campaigns that enhanced the store's public image. She began her professional journey as a British pro consul at the British Consulate General from 1969 to 1979. During her tenure, she orchestrated personal appearances and media interviews for esteemed personalities, including Prince Charles (now King Charles).

Ms. Carson's academic background includes an associate degree in English language and English literature from Edgehill College in Bideford, North Devon, Great Britain, earned in 1965. She is also a certified marketing consultant with the eMarketing Association and is an active member in the Advertising Specialty Institute, and Women Empowering Women.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Carson is deeply involved in civic activities. She served as a board member of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and is an advisory board member for KWRH-LP 92.9 FM since 2020. Her past experience as event coordinator for a major St. Louis Department Store where she worked both the Missouri Historical Society Flea Market and St. Louis Polo reflects her dedication to community engagement. She also co-organized the Holiday Expo for non-profit Gateway to Dreams, wrote and managed their monthly newsletter and has chaired or co-chaired major events, such as the Brentwood Women's Business Expo in 2018 and Gateway to Dreams Impact Awards.

Additionally, Ms. Carson supports various charitable organizations, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Duo Dogs Inc., Her contributions extend to creative projects, such as producing trifolds, flyers and event signage for clients. In the past, she wrote for St. Louis Small Business Monthly, a St. Louis based monthly newspaper for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Both her professional and her civic accomplishments have been recognized with accolades, such as being named the number one business in Wildwood by Alignable in both 2024 and 2025.

Born in England but immigrating to the United States in 1965, Ms. Carson enjoys trout fishing in her free time and prioritizes spending time with her family, including her husband, John MacPherson, son Alex, daughter-in-law Stephanie and grandchildren Emma and Lucas.
