RIVERVIEW, FL, May 13, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gerardo E. Matos-Negron has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Matos-Negron has built a respected career defined by service, operational leadership and dedication to personal and professional growth. In early 2026, he participated as a fellow with The Honor Foundation in Tampa as part of Group 129, where he focused on translating his extensive military leadership experience into opportunities within the civilian sector. The program supports United States Special Operations Forces members as they prepare for successful transitions into corporate and community leadership roles.

In addition to his transition preparation and professional development efforts, Mr. Matos-Negron has served as a senior security consultant for the United States Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base since 2024. Previously, he worked as a protection specialist with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at MacDill Air Force Base from 2022 to 2024.

Throughout his military career, Mr. Matos-Negron held numerous leadership assignments of increasing responsibility within the United States Army. From 2019 to 2022, he served as first sergeant within the 508th Military Police Battalion of the 42nd Military Police Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington. During that same period, he also served as senior enlisted provost marshal for America's I Corps G34 Protection.

Earlier assignments included operations sergeant for the 42nd Military Police Brigade and senior operations noncommissioned officer for the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his tenure with the Warrior Transition Battalion, he was entrusted with organizing the battalion's three-year and 10-year anniversary commemorations honoring wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as soldiers facing significant health challenges.

The commemorative events highlighted resilience, recovery and successful transitions into civilian life while engaging community organizations and inspiring current program participants through stories of perseverance and achievement.

Mr. Matos-Negron's additional military assignments included serving as adaptive reconditioning program noncommissioned officer-in-charge and community care unit leader at Fort Bragg, platoon sergeant with the 630th Military Police Company in Germany, and various leadership and operational roles with the 504th Military Police Battalion and Hanau Health Clinic. His service included assignments in Germany, Washington State and North Carolina, as well as a combat deployment to Afghanistan.

Alongside his operational leadership experience, Mr. Matos-Negron pursued advanced academic and professional development. He earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and teaching from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras in 2001 and later obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2016.

His professional development also includes graduating from the Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy University in 2023, completing protective service detail training with the United States Army in 2022, and earning a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Womack Army Medical Center in 2017. Earlier in his career, he completed military police certification training at Fort Leonard Wood and medical logistics certification at Fort Sam Houston.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Matos-Negron remains engaged in organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and military professionals transitioning into civilian careers. Through his participation in The Honor Foundation and FourBlock programs in Tampa, he has further strengthened his professional development and civilian transition preparation while building relationships within the veteran leadership community.

In recognition of his dedication and leadership, Mr. Matos-Negron has received numerous honors, including two Meritorious Service Medals, multiple Army Commendation Medals, and fellowships with The Honor Foundation Group 129 and FourBlock.

Raised in Puerto Rico, Mr. Matos-Negron credits his success to the values instilled by his parents and the steadfast support of his wife, whose influence has shaped his growth as a leader, husband and father.

Looking ahead, he remains committed to community service, mentorship and supporting the successful transition of military professionals into meaningful civilian leadership roles while continuing to prioritize family, service and lifelong growth.
