As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Ocon has established a distinguished career in structural engineering, marked by more than four decades of leadership and technical expertise. Since 2019, he has served as CEO and managing principal at Browder + Leguizamon & Associates, where he oversees business planning, manages a 30-employee Structural Engineering Consulting Firm, directs project oversight and review, develops and maintains standards with the standards group, coordinates department collaboration, and provides guidance to project managers and junior partners. Under his stewardship, the firm has continued to excel in designing structures using wood, concrete, steel, and other structural materials, while also handling specialty projects. The company is recognized for its commitment to diversity in expertise, advanced technology integration – including the use of cutting-edge software tools and artificial intelligence – and a client-focused approach that values long-term relationships.

Before assuming the role of CEO and managing principal, Mr. Ocon contributed significantly to the firm's growth and reputation. His tenure as a structural engineer at the company began in 1993 and continues to the present day. His expertise extends to millions of square-feet of high-rise buildings, hotels, multifamily developments, parking decks, data centers and warehouses. The firm's portfolio also includes hotel projects in Jamaica and consulting assignments in South America, Taiwan and Japan.

Mr. Ocon's professional journey is further distinguished by his dedication to mentorship and team development. He is committed to fostering an environment where each engineer can reach their full potential, ensuring that knowledge is shared across generations within the firm. He attributes much of his success to his philosophy of learning from every individual he encounters, valuing humility, open collaboration and continuous improvement as keys to achievement. Earlier in his career, he served as a structural engineer at Nielsen/Uzun Structural Engineers and Philip I. Levine Engineers Inc. He began his career in 1979 at his alma mater, La Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) in Nicaragua, where he taught calculus, numerical analysis and programming.

He holds certification as a structural engineer in 40 U.S. states, serving as a testament to his broad expertise and commitment to maintaining rigorous professional standards. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Ocon has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement. He coached children's soccer teams for seven years, is a member of Regnum Christi Federation where has participated in MEGA Mission, ECYD Boys' Leadership Program, and Hombre Nuevo.

Mr. Ocon's work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Bonitas Mariae Award from the Archdiocese of Atlanta in 2024, the NCSEA Excellence in Structural Engineering Award in 2021, an AIA Award from the Ponce City Market in 2018, and numerous first-place awards from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) dating to 1995, among other accolades. Throughout his career, he has remained steadfast in his belief that success is rooted not only in technical achievement but also in striving for personal growth and treating every individual with respect.
