A girl feels sorry for a cat who appears on her porch during a snowstorm so she gives him warm milk. The next day she gives him tuna, and so on and so on. Eventually the porch is as cozy as the house. Finally, the cat answers her repeated invitation to "come inside" with an invitation of his own.
