The following excerpt is from the talk by Dr. W. John Martin, MD PhD, at the Conference "Autism Hope and Treatment," held in Madera CA, March 30-31, 2007. Dr. Martin is Director of the Institute of Progressive Medicine. The talk was entitled "Stealth Adapted Viruses: Another Inconvenient Truth."

The failure to recognize PTSD as a neurological rather than a psychological illness continues to plague military medicine and to underserve many of its most troubled veterans. The role of brain-damaging stealth adapted viruses in individuals with PTSD needs to be explored.
